Before work starts
- Know the emergency exits and first-aid location
- Keep walkways and work areas clear
- Use only equipment you are comfortable and authorized to use

- Wear the protection appropriate to the task
- Stop and ask when a tool, setup, or material is unfamiliar
- Keep guards, dust collection, and safe work zones in place
