Proposal

What is being suggested

One regular repair-focused morning would give the Shed a predictable way to handle smaller jobs without interrupting longer projects. Requests could be reviewed ahead of time so members know what tools, parts, and experience are needed.

Benefits

Why it could help

A regular schedule makes community requests easier to organize and gives members who enjoy repair work a clear way to contribute.

Questions

Things to decide

  • How many jobs should be accepted for a single morning?
  • Which requests are appropriate for the Shed and which should be referred elsewhere?
  • How should parts and material costs be handled before work starts?

The intake piece is the important part. If we know what is coming before Wednesday, we can decide whether it is a good fit and avoid having unfinished jobs pile up.

Starting with one morning a month sounds manageable. We can review it after a few months and adjust based on the kinds of requests we actually receive.
